Today we discovered an abandoned barn. It was lovely, glowing in the setting sun, so we stopped to peek in it's windows and pick it's flowers.

Project 52: Light
Peeking in her room at quiet time. The day is growing overcast, but one streak of light shines in from the window, illuminating what I hold dear.

one moment of summer
It's been quiet in this space; we've just recovered from weeks of colds, pneumonia and the flu. It's been rather miserable, but this week we were able to venture out, see friendly faces, and splurge on strawberries. I couldn't resist these lovely berries - they called to us as we passed them by at the store, and they were eagerly placed in our cart. They brought color and light into our little kitchen, and our smiles wouldn't stop as we devoured them in record time. For a few precious moments we embraced summertime in all it's glory, and our hearts have been lighter since.
